    • Historical information: This collection consists of materials produced by students of the graduate-level field methods course in the Department of Linguistics at UC Berkeley during the winter and spring quarters of 1971. The course was taught by Prof. James Matisoff, and the language consultant was Jaime Daza. All other listed individuals were students enrolled in the course.
    • Scope and content: Field notes, class papers, bibliography, administrative documents. Items 2020-18.001 through 2020-18.004 were given by James Matisoff to Leanne Hinton in preparation for her later (1979) iteration of the course (see collection 2015-02).
