- Historical information: This collection consists of materials produced by students of the graduate-level field methods course in the Department of Linguistics at UC Berkeley between September 2013 and May 2014. The course was taught by Prof. Darya Kavitskaya, and the language consultant was Nazik Aytjanova. All other listed contributors were students in the course.
- Scope and content: This collection is organized into three series: 001 consists of sound recordings of elicitation sessions conducted as a full class and in small groups, with associated TextGrid files; 002 is field notes, with relations referencing the associated sound recordings; 003 is miscellaneous files, including a FieldWorks Language Explorer (FLEx) database, and the HTML files underlying a descriptive wiki the class produced. Researcher names in group recording bundles are those who were responsible for primary elicitation; many class participants' voices are heard on the recordings.
