- Dates: 2020-
- Historical information: Mam is a member of the Mamean branch of the Mayan language family, and it is spoken throughout western Guatemala, parts of Mexico, and in diaspora communities across North America. The varieties documented in this collection all belong to the Northern dialect region. Recordings were held over Zoom, and in San Juan Atitán, Guatemala. This fieldwork was conducted by Tessa Scott as part of her research as a graduate student in the Department of Linguistics at the University of California, Berkeley, with support from an Oswalt Endangered Language Grant.
- Scope and content: Audio recordings of lexical and grammatical elicitation, subtitled video recordings of narrative texts, typed field notes, PDF scans of original field notes. The collection consists of materials on multiple varieties of Mam, including Mam spoken in the following towns in Guatemala: San Juan Atitán, San Antonio Ixchiguán, San Ildefonso Ixtahuacán, San Juan Atitán, San Rafael Petzal, and San Sebastián Huehuetenango. Most of the materials focus on San Juan Atitán Mam.

- Collection identifier: 2016-04
- Language: San Ildefonso Ixtahuacán Mam
- Dates: 1968
- Extent: 2 reels
- Historical information: The two reels that were digitized to produce the six WAV files in this collection were found in the studio cabinet of the Berkeley Language Center. The only associated information was written on one of the two reel boxes; this information has been extracted to the non-bracketed names of items and to the date fields of those items. The voices of two native English-speaking researchers are heard in the recordings, with at least two different native speakers of Mam. Location information was extrapolated from a mention in 2016-04.003 that those whose voices are heard are present in La Cumbre, with mention of a nearby town Acal. In consultation with Professor Nora England (University of Texas at Austin), these locations were determined to be in the municipality of San Ildefonso Ixtahuacán, in Guatemala. One reel is a copy of the other, such that each item in this collection contains digitizations of two recordings on different reels of the same content.
- Scope and content: Recordings of lexical and grammatical elicitation; conversation in Mam; text in Mam concerning shamanism with discussion in Spanish
