- Historical information: Abraham Halpern (1914-1985) received a PhD from the University of Chicago in 1947. The cassette tapes that make up this collection were donated in 2005 to the Berkeley Language Center as part of the estate of Margaret Langdon, and later transferred to the California Language Archive.
