    • Historical information: This collection consists primarily of materials produced by students of the graduate-level field methods course in the Department of Linguistics at UC Berkeley between January and June 1979. The course was taught by Prof. Leanne Hinton. The consultants were first Laura Runi (2015-02.001), a speaker of Ayacucho Quechua, then Ditri Daza, a speaker of Cochabamba Quechua. All other listed contributors were students in the class.
    • Scope and content: Twelve sound recordings (bundles 001-009), field notes, term papers, transcriptions. The recordings focus largely on the recitation of basic words and phrases, as well as some more complex sentences; they also includes dialogic and poetic texts. File bundles 010-026 all replace Hinton.004.
