    • Historical information: A'ingae (or Cofán, ISO 639-3: con) is an endangered and severely underdocumented language isolate. As of January 2021, A'ingae is spoken by around 1,500 Cofán people in the northeastern province of Sucumbíos in Ecuador and in southern Colombia.
The materials that constitute this collection were primarily developed by Maksymilian Dąbkowski, a graduate student in UC Berkeley's Department of Linguistics, during a field trip to Sinangoé, Sucumbíos, Ecuador in the summer of 2019. Funding for this research came from Brown University's Royce Fellowship granted for the project "Cofán Language Preservation."
Item titles largely follows the orthographic standards set by members of the Cofán communities, as opposed to an older orthography created by Marlytte "Bubs" Borman and Roberta "Bobbie" Borman of the Summer Institute of Linguistics. Video and audio were recorded with Zoom Q8 2.3K HD Handy Video Recorder and Zoom H4n Pro Handy Recorder.
